The Columbia Dermatology Office consists of the design and construction of a new, purpose-built dermatology medical facility intended to provide comprehensive outpatient skin care services in a modern, patient-centered environment. The building will be designed to support clinical efficiency, patient comfort, and future growth while meeting all applicable healthcare, accessibility, and life-safety requirements.
The facility will include a welcoming reception and waiting area, multiple exam rooms, lab, space for cosmetic treatments, and laser services as applicable. Supporting spaces will include clinical work areas, medical storage, staff offices, break areas, restrooms, and building support spaces.
The building design will emphasize a calm, professional aesthetic with durable, easy-to-maintain finishes suitable for a medical environment. Natural light, intuitive circulation, and clear wayfinding will be incorporated to enhance patient experience and staff workflow. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems will be designed to accommodate specialized dermatology equipment and to support infection control, energy efficiency, and patient safety.
